Just as men receive confusing messages from society, so do women.

As we grow up our understanding of the differences between raising boys into men and girls into women is influenced by conditioned gender roles that cloud our true gender identities.

As a result, we have very little more than a superficial understanding of how maleness and masculinity is different from femaleness and femininity. Nor do we understand the interplay between masculine and feminine that occurs within us, within our relationships and within our society.

When we understand our own identity as a man, we have a greater capacity to understand a woman’s identity as a woman – and vice versa – which greatly supports us in our relationship.

For both men and women, the cost and ramifications of not understanding our own true identity in a relationship with our partner has massive consequences. Misunderstanding and frustration that comes from not understanding our gender differences creates disharmony and conflict.
